Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist to provide activities/therapies as suggested/prescribed by therapeutic consultants.
- Assist in direct care of individuals while they are attending day program.
- Participate in the development and implementation of client’s Person Centered Plan.
- Plan and organize appropriate social outings and leisure activities for individuals.
- Operate vehicles in a safe and competent manner, obeying all traffic laws and Agency policies.
- Provide regularly scheduled and non-routine transportation using approved agency transportation procedures.
- Lifting and transferring of a totally dependent individual weighing 120 lbs. with assistance of one (1) staff person.
- Participate in ongoing staff training as required by Agency.
- Engage in a professional manner with other staff, with health care professionals, and in all representation of CCR.
- Advance agency philosophy and objectives to staff and public. Assure adherence to all agency policies and standards, as well as applicable licensing/regulatory requirements.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Education:
- Possession of a valid Maryland driver’s license and must meet agency insurance requirements of 3 years.
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
- Certification or ability to be certified in First Aid, CPR and agency transportation procedures
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred.
- Evidence of interest in, and capacity to work with Developmentally Disabled Individuals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
