**Job Summary:**
The Chesapeake College is seeking a highly skilled General Technician to join its team. As a key member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for providing facility-related services across various locations.
This role involves working under the direction of the Maintenance & Energy Supervisor and collaborating with HVAC, Plumbing, Grounds, and Electric Technicians. Your tasks will include grounds keeping responsibilities, operating equipment such as backhoes, bobcats, and forklifts, and assisting trade technicians in maintaining facilities systems and equipment.
To be successful in this position, you must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently at times. You will also need to possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and at least three years of experience in any combination of the following trades: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry.
