What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collision Repair Technician position at Chesapeake Collision?
A busy and well-established collision repair MSO has an immediate opening for a Body Technician in our Huntingtown, MD shop. Successful candidate(s) will repair all assigned vehicles to pre-accident condition according to the written repair order and in accordance with OEM standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review each repair order, including estimate(s) and notes, to understand needed repairs prior to beginning work on the vehicle. All repairs must be completed according to the documentation contained on the repair order.
- Perform initial teardown of vehicle.
- Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
- Perform all repair procedures according to factory specifications and company policies.
- Follow company procedures in application of under-coating, corrosion protection, seam sealer, weld-through primer and lubricants.
- Document labor time on work order as it is completed.
- Review work order and initial all completed repair items.
- Re-assemble painted vehicle.
- Report any equipment problems or failures to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have minimum 6 months of applicable work experience
- Must have a valid US driver's license for at least 1 year with good driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
