Event Coordinator
***Convention center/conference center experience preferred
Duties:
- Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, meetings, weddings, and social gatherings
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and timeline development
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and ensure their vision is brought to life
- Manage event registration and attendee communication
- Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly
- Provide on-site event coordination and troubleshooting during events
- Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role with catering experience and experience in assembling BEO’s.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent hospitality and customer service skills
- Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Knowledge of guest services principles and practices
- Familiarity with marketing techniques for event promotion
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant events management is a plus
- Upselling skills to maximize revenue opportunities
