About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazing Drafter to join our Drafting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the glazing industry, extensive AutoCAD experience, and a proven ability to produce precise shop and fabrication drawings. This role involves collaborating with our Project Management, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality drafting solutions for commercial projects of varying scales.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience detailing curtain walls, storefronts, doors and hardware, ACM/plate panels, and architectural glass.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD (verified work experience required).
- Strong experience in creating detailed shop drawings.
- Solid understanding of field conditions and construction methods.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- A background in the glazing industry is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, accurately, and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Glazing Drafter, you will work closely with the Project Management Department to create detailed shop drawings for commercial glazing projects. These projects include curtain walls, storefronts, aluminum doors, architectural glass, decorative metals, architectural panels, and related hardware.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Engineers, Fabricators, and Project Managers to produce accurate drawings that align with the design intent and meet fabrication and installation requirements.
- Reviewing architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify necessary materials and components for inclusion in the drawings.
- Developing detailed drawings that encompass material dimensions, types, finishes, attachment methods, fabrication details, installation procedures, and coordination with adjacent trades.
- Translating sketches, cut sheets, and manufacturer-provided information into comprehensive CAD drawings.
- Ensuring all work is completed professionally, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Working directly with Project Managers and installers to develop cost-effective and practical solutions for project challenge.
