Key Responsibilities :
Equipment Maintenance and Repair : Evaluate, recommend, and perform quality repairs on a variety of industrial equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Customer Interaction : Maintain regular communication with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatchers, lead service technicians, and customers through phone and in-person interactions.
Professionalism : Demonstrate a professional demeanor, fostering goodwill between the company and customers by delivering excellent service.
Documentation : Efficiently and accurately submit electronic work orders using a company-provided tablet, recording time spent and parts used for each job.
Site Assessment : Regularly observe customer sites to assess and address their needs effectively.
Safety and Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and customer safety and housekeeping guidelines.
Travel : Travel extensively throughout the territory daily in a company-provided service van, maintaining the vehicle in a clean, organized, and functional state (company covers maintenance expenses).
Qualifications :
Experience : Previous experience working on conveyor systems is preferred.
Tools : Possession of a set of basic mechanic’s tools; specialty tools will be provided by the company.
Technical Skills : Ability to read and interpret schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
Physical Requirements : Capability to lift heavy mechanical components (up to 50 lbs) daily.
Education : Experience in maintaining industrial equipment or a technical / mechanical certificate.
Additional Skills : Welding and fabrication skills are desirable.
Computer Literacy : Proficiency in computer use is required.
Licensing : Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Background Check : Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug / alcohol screening successfully.
Work Environment :
This role involves extensive travel within the designated territory, requiring the technician to work in various customer environments. Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. The company provides a service van and covers maintenance expenses, expecting the technician to maintain the vehicle in optimal condition.
