Job Overview
The Chesapeake Professional Development Group, LLC is seeking a skilled Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Instrumentation and Control Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and preparing engineering products, including design/engineering change packages, specifications, calculations, and technical evaluations.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee contracted engineering work to ensure consistency with company and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and oversight for Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and Simulations.
- Interface with equipment suppliers and project stakeholders to conduct technical reviews.
- Analyze engineering risks and failure modes, incorporating mitigation strategies into designs.
- Support the construction/implementation phase, including design updates and resolution of technical issues.
- Report project status to engineering team leads, project managers, and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of directly related electrical power design engineering experience, preferably in a nuclear power setting.
- 10 years of industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent extensive field experience).
- Holding or previously holding a U.S. Professional Engineer license is advantageous.
