What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paramedic, Flexi position at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare?
The Emergency Department Paramedic is responsible for assisting with direct patient care in the Emergency Department /Emergency Observation under the guidance and direction of a registered nurse or supervisor. Activities are based on accepted standards of emergency and outpatient practice and are performed within the scope of education, training and experience of the paramedic. An Emergency Department Paramedic is knowledgeable in aseptic technique, EKG identification, arrhythmias and phlebotomy and utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span in caring for patients.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma and certification as a Virginia Paramedic or National Registry Paramedic.
