Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the overall coordination of activities of Nursing Services during off-tour and weekend shifts. This position channels situations to the appropriate Department Head as needed, and collaborates with the Directors, Nurse Managers and Charges Nurses to establish and enforce criteria to maintain a high level of patient care through appropriate interpretation of Hospital and Nursing policies and procedures, demonstration of effective communication skills, application of appropriate management principles, and maintenance of clinical assessment skills.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience: 3 years' nursing experience required; broad range of clinical experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Applicant must be licensed to work as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state. BLS required.
