Summary
Responsible and accountable for providing and directing individualized care from infant to geriatric on assigned patients based on the established standards of nursing practice. This requires assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients through clinical knowledge and skills. The Registered Nurse is responsible for meeting the established standards for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment in the peranesthesia setting and promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel in other departments.
Nurses hired will be assigned to work in Pre-admission testing/screening, Pre-Op, and PACU/Recovery.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse
Preferred Education: BSN
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in ambulatory surgery / outpatient care setting, or other related medical facilities. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations and infection control/prevention practices. Basic computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current nursing license to practice in the state of Virginia. Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
BLS is required upon hire
May obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire date.
