Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with accurate wait times.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Assist guests with any inquiries regarding the menu or restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including waiting areas and menus.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle phone calls professionally, taking reservations and answering questions about the restaurant.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and effectively.

Skills

• Strong background in food service and hospitality, with a focus on guest relations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Proficient in using POS systems for managing reservations and orders.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to help guests.
• Knowledge of phone etiquette to handle calls professionally and courteously.
• A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
