Come join our TEAM!!! We are a busy ENT and Plastics Surgical Center in Annapolis Maryland in search of a motivated nurse navigator.
Role: The Pre-Anesthesia Nurse Navigator will work under the direction of the ASC Nurse Administrator and the ASC Medical Director. The Pre-Anesthesia Nurse Navigator interviews (either in person, virtual, or telephone) all patients who are undergoing general or MAC forms of anesthesia. This role will provide assessment, care planning, education, coordination and consultation support to patients, families/caregivers, and clinical staff as the patient transitions across the continuum of care.
The Nurse Navigator is a liaison with our surgeons, the surgeon’s office, the patient's primary physician, specialty service office practices, Surgical center nurses, Anesthesia, and the whole interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Must have a current license to practice in Maryland.
- Minimum Two-year experience in PACU or O.R.
- Be comfortable with EMR systems (e-Clinical Works) and excited to use clinical nursing expertise to assess, educate and navigate patients through their Surgical experience.
- Possess an exceptional capacity for compassion and patience in dealing with outside offices and a diverse patient population.
