Course Description
Construction Trades:
Construction Trades is designed to provide students with entry level skills in residential carpentry & the allied trades. Using a lab based “hands-on” experience as well as classroom information students are taught the techniques & tool use necessary for career placement in the diverse building trades industry. Students will understand general building techniques as well as being able to safely & accurately use hand & power tools. Hands on experiences and technical classroom information prepares the student for career placement in the diverse building trades industry, further postsecondary education or an apprenticeship program. Work-based learning in construction companies may be arranged for eligible students.
