What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Cheshire County Government?
- Accepts, refers, records, and tracks civil process papers for service in the County; sets up returns of service for same
- Prepares invoices for civil process revenue and outside detail billing; prepares bank deposits for money received; produces reminder bills for services
- Serves civil process paperwork to defendants who come into the Sheriff’s Department.
- Greets and assists customers who bring civil process paperwork to the Sheriff’s Department
- Responsible for accounts receivable, daily bank deposits, and balancing of the monthly bank statements.
- Reconciles monthly bank statements and sends reports to the Finance Department.
- Inputs daily payroll hours for department employees; prepares yearly Secretary of State payroll report.
- Maintains account of petty cash and reconciles monthly
- Orders office supplies and equipment
- Prepares purchase orders for the Finance Department.
- Maintains various monthly reports for the Sheriff.
- Balances monthly budgetary status reports.
- Prepares department related records for auditors.
