Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Guilford office. This vital role involves managing the front desk operations at our practice, ensuring smooth communication between clients and therapists while upholding our commitment to exceptional service in pediatric therapy.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of patient care plans by collecting relevant information from clients.
- Maintain the organization of medical files and documents for easy access by staff.
- Coordinate with therapists regarding patient appointments and any special requirements.
- Process insurance information and verify coverage for services provided.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office setting.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and schedules.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in office management software and phone systems; experience with coding is a plus.
