Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. We are hiring for both full and part-time positions. The ideal candidate will assess patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and help individuals improve their mobility, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgeries. This role is vital to improving the quality of life for our patients. Our Physical Therapists are split between school systems and clinics. We have locations in Cheshire, Orange, Guilford, Meriden, and Torrington, CT. We offer a student loan paydown program for all full-time employees, 401K match, generous PTO policy, and continuing education reimbursement

Cheshire Fitness Zone (CFZ) offers a multitude of therapeutic programs that uniquely meet you and your family’s needs.
CFZ was designed specifically for children and adolescents of all ages and abilities. We feature three main therapy areas to include physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (ST). Our physical therapy gym has a full array of exercise equipment biomechanically designed to fit children as well as a 32 foot long rock climbing wall. In addition, our physical therapy space has a baby-friendly room and a private treatment room. Our occupational therapy space features two sensory gyms and two fine motor rooms. The speech department boasts a number of individual treatment rooms.
Each therapeutic program is individually designed to meet the needs of our clients. Our professional staff has many years of experience working with children.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess physical capabilities and identify therapy goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Use therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and specialized equipment to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in therapy areas.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques through continuing education.
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Must have a valid Connecticut state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire patients to reach their therapy goals.
- Proficient in documentation and patient record-keeping.
