What Will You Do
- Evaluate residents by applying diagnostic, prognostic tests and evaluations and by reporting the findings in terms of problems and abilities of the residents to the appropriate members of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Identify residents’ therapy needs and develop long and short-term goals to meet these needs while documenting the above information in the medical record.
- Interact directly with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team to provide consistency of care by directly consulting with department heads, when appropriate, and attend Care Plan meetings when required.
- Present at a minimum of yearly in-service to staff as directed by the Director of Nursing and Head of Therapy.
- Responsible for all evaluations on new admissions to be completed within 24 to 48 hours.
- Graduate of OTA curriculum approved by the American Medical Association.
- Has passed the certification examination given by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Received license from the State of NJ.
- Has at least one year of professional experience, under supervision in a rehabilitation setting.
