SPECIAL EDUCATION / Grade 3 CHAPMAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Description
Paraeducator needed to work 1 to 1 supporting a student with communication and life skill challenges and/or working with whole and small group instruction through out the day. Responsibilities include supervising lunch and recess and accompanying students to specials (art, music). Experience working with grades K - 3 students is necessary and an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices is desirable. Other tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Hours: 8:00 am - 2:15 pm.
Supervised By
Special Education Supervisor and/or School Principal.
Qualifications
High school diploma. Two years of higher education preferred.
Salary
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroon/Playground Aides. Starting Salary $16.35/hr. Benefits Available.
