Your Next Great Adventure
As the Land Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring undeveloped land or finished lots that align with the companys Market Strategy and Business Plan. This includes conducting research and analysis, developing financial models, and preparing Land Packages for corporate approval. You will negotiate purchase contracts, prepare letters of intent, and maintain strong relationships with land developers, brokers, landowners, and other industry partners. Additionally, you will oversee financial aspects of acquisitions, manage project timelines and budgets, and coordinate with city, county, and municipal agencies to resolve any regulatory issues. You will assist the VP of Land in evaluating acquisition opportunities and oversee the progress of development projects from permit approval through to construction and community turnover, ensuring all projects meet financial and operational goals.
Success is Built On
- 5 years of experience in real estate acquisition, land development, management, or financial industry preferred.
- Thorough understanding of financial concepts related to real estate projects to be able to quickly assess lot acquisition and land/development opportunities
- Understand impact of community development and building requirements related to home construction and development needs
- Proficient with standard software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly in fast-paced high work volume
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees
- Capacity to prioritize and delegate tasks
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi- task and prioritize work
- Must have a valid drivers license and successfully pass a background check
- Bachelors degree in real estate, engineering, construction management or related program
- 5 years of experience working in real estate acquisition, land development, management, or financial industry preferred
