Your Next Great Adventure:
Chesmar Homes is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Land Acquisition to lead and execute land acquisition strategies that align with our growth objectives. This role is critical to identifying, negotiating, and securing land opportunities that drive our success as a premier home builder. The VP of Land Acquisition will work closely with leadership, land development teams, and external partners to expand our footprint in targeted markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic land acquisition plan to support growth and profitability targets.
- Conduct market research and identify high-potential land opportunities based on trends, demand, and financial feasibility.
- Lead negotiations and due diligence efforts to secure favorable land deals while managing risks.
- Build and manage a high-performing land acquisition team, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, and municipalities to support acquisition efforts.
Qualifications
Success is Built On:
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of successful land acquisitions.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience managing high-value transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of market research, financial analysis, and due diligence processes.
- Ability to build relationships with landowners, municipalities, and industry partners.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or related field, preferably with a home builder.
