About You
You are passionate about building and managing infrastructure. It brings you joy to learn new technologies and use them to help reach challenging product goals. You have solid experience deep diving into Elasticsearch & Linux internals, as well as the future-oriented skills of managing Cloud / Kubernetes ecosystems. You are humble with a sense of humor and eager to be a part of a like minded team of people. You have been working in or dreamed of working in the gaming industry and are ready to turn your talents towards chess!
What You'll Do
- You will support our global Elasticsearch infrastructure and help us improve experiences for millions of chess players worldwide.
- You will take part in building and maintaining highly scalable Elasticsearch clusters deployed on our bare-metal and cloud kubernetes clusters.
- You will have the opportunity to solve interesting challenges like optimizing query performance for scanning TBs of data with high velocity, implementing advanced Elasticsearch features, and ensuring data consistency across multiple regions.
- You will help app dev teams create and optimize integrations with Elasticsearch
- You will play a key role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our Elasticsearch infrastructure, as we scale our capabilities to meet the growing demands of our user base.
- You will get to collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate Elasticsearch with various components of our technology stack and develop innovative search solutions.
