Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (Med Tech) to join our team. As a travel Med Tech, you will perform essential laboratory tests and analyses, supporting healthcare teams in diagnosing and treating patients. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy exploring diverse healthcare settings across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing : Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and tissue analyses, following established protocols.
Equipment Operation : Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Quality Control : Perform quality control checks on tests and equipment to maintain laboratory standards and ensure reliable results.
Specimen Management : Collect, prepare, and handle specimens appropriately to prevent contamination or errors.
Data Analysis : Interpret and report test results accurately to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
Compliance : Adhere to all state, federal, and facility regulations, including OSHA and CLIA standards.
Collaboration : Work closely with healthcare teams to provide diagnostic insights and contribute to patient care planning.
Documentation : Maintain thorough and accurate records of all tests, procedures, and results in compliance with facility policies.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification :
Current ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Technologist (required).
State licensure in the assignment state (if applicable).
Education : Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (required).
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in multiple laboratory disciplines.
Skills :
Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
