Summary
Summary / Main Purpose of Job:
The Nurse Aide cares for patients in a nursing home or other medical facility under the direction of the nursing and medical staff.
Criminal background check is required.
Essential Duties
Essential Duties, Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Maintain daily reports.
- Maintain patients' charts with information on baths, bowel and bladder, and ADL tracking sheets.
- Serve and collect food trays and feed patients requiring help.
- Take and record food and fluid intake and output, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, as directed.
- Dust and clean patients' rooms and change bed linens.
- Bathe, dress, and undress patients.
- Turn and reposition bedfast patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores.
- Answer signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine patients' needs.
- Run errands, as required.
- Answer telephones and assist visitors.
- Provide morning
- Transport patients or assist patients in walking to activities (e.g., barber shop, hairdresser, physical therapy, clinic, etc.).
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Six months to one year of job-related experience and/or training.
- Valid Nurse Aide Certification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service experience and/or skills.
