What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodians position at Chester County Schools?
This is a 12-month position
- Custodians will perform all janitorial functions including: sweeping, mopping, buffing, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, and sanitizing.
- Custodians will work with various chemicals during the work day and must have an understanding of the use of each chemical.
- The job will require frequent bending, lifting, stooping, standing and walking.
- Custodians will work a scheduled shift
- Must have an understanding of general safety principals
- Will be under the direct supervision of the Building Principal during the academic year
- Custodians will work at varying district schools during the summer months
- During the summer months, Custodians will be under the direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor or their designee
Must be able to pass a FBI/TBI fingerprint background
