Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Chester’s is a third-generation family-owned business with approximately 60 employees nationwide. Our team spans sales, operations, and marketing, collaborating closely to drive brand success.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The Field Marketing Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between Chester’s corporate marketing team, field operations, and franchise operators. This role is highly interactive and boots-on-the-ground, requiring frequent travel and direct engagement with operators to customize local marketing strategies, drive sales, and ensure brand consistency. The ideal candidate is outgoing, adaptable, and relationship-driven, with a passion for helping franchisees succeed in their specific markets.


This is a newly created position with the opportunity to shape processes and drive measurable impact at the field level. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and excited about building something from the ground up.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


Franchise Marketing & Local Store Support

  • Partner with franchise operators to develop localized marketing strategies that drive foot traffic, boost sales, and increase brand awareness.
  • Create and execute local store marketing (LSM) plans, ensuring franchisees have access to training, tools, and updated materials.
  • Assist operators in optimizing third-party delivery adoption and leveraging national promotions in their local markets.
  • Attend regional and national tradeshows to build the brand, interact with existing operators, and help drive sales of Chester’s franchise model to new operators.


Communication & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary marketing contact for franchisees, providing guidance and troubleshooting marketing challenges.
  • Work closely with Territory Performance Managers (TPMs) and regional directors to support key accounts and multi-unit operators.
  • Develop strong operator relationships by visiting franchise locations, attending regional meetings, and providing ongoing marketing support.
  • Help educate franchisees on available corporate marketing resources and facilitate adoption of new programs, promotions, and tools.


Brand Strategy & Execution

  • Ensure franchise locations adhere to Chester’s brand standards across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Coordinate grand openings, competitive intrusion responses, and conversion marketing initiatives.
  • Gather insights from the field to improve marketing effectiveness, training materials, and program adoption.


Future Growth & Innovation

  • Play a pivotal role in launching Chester’s 2.0, an initiative focused on new equipment packages, packaging innovations, and enhanced operational efficiencies.
  • Support new store openings, ensuring operators receive personalized marketing assistance to maximize their launch success.
  • Assist in evolving Chester’s digital marketing efforts, including potential involvement in local social media strategies.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in field marketing, franchise marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills—able to engage with a variety of personalities and build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and able to extract actionable insights from sales trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and experience with marketing tools like Constant Contact and SharePoint (or willingness to learn).
  • Willingness to travel regularly (50%) to franchise locations across the U.S.
  • Food service or franchise experience is a plus but not required.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 6-12 MONTHS

  • Established trusting relationships with franchise operators, TPMs, and regional sales managers.
  • Helped develop localized marketing strategies for key markets and optimized store-level marketing execution.
  • Created a repeatable marketing support process for new store openings and high-potential accounts.
  • Assisted with the rollout of Chester’s 2.0 innovations, including new packaging and operational efficiencies.
  • Contributed to more targeted, hyper-local marketing efforts that improve sales performance at the franchise level.
