The Chester Valley Engineers landscape architecture team is growing. This position offers the opportunity for career growth and the ability to work with a progressive team of professionals that continually seek to improve the environment with which we are tasked to design. Our project portfolio includes a mix of private and public projects that range from municipal park and recreation plans to residential/institutional land developments.
We are seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect and Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our landscape architecture team in our Malvern office. Some project management experience throughout all project phases ranging from master planning and conceptual design through construction documentation and administration is required of all applicants. Applicants will be trained to mentor younger staff, having the ability to provide solid technical expertise and advice, perform redline reviews of design drawings, be comfortable reviewing and editing construction drawings, technical specifications, and preparing accurate construction budget estimates. A strong knowledge of construction materials and associated installation methods is desired for this position. Proficiency in ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget and to our clients satisfaction is of the utmost importance to this position.
The ideal candidate will also be knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, Adobe Suites and may be asked to assist with document production to meet project deadlines. This position will report to the Director of Landscape Architecture and will collaborate with other landscape architects, landscape designers, engineering, and planning staff. The position will focus mainly on the following:
- Project management through all project phases of design and construction
- Mentoring staff
- Redline reviews of project deliverables
- Community engagement meetings
- Collaboration with civil engineers and land surveyors
- Client representation, interaction and management
- Construction Administration
- Active licensure for Pennsylvania, other states welcome
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office and Adobe Suites
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High degree of enthusiasm, joining a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, engineers, planners and land surveyors
