Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team at Chesterbrook Academy. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Curriculum Implementation: Assist in planning and implementing lessons that align with the approved curriculum, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for our students.
- Classroom Environment: Create a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment, promoting social-emotional learning and encouraging students to take ownership of their academic journey.
- Families and Community: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one of the following qualifications: High School Diploma or GED AND at least 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field; High School Diploma or GED AND 15 relevant credits (or CDA) with at least 1 year of experience with children; High School Diploma or GED AND at least two years of experience with children.
- Ability to successfully pass state and federal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to connect with students.
