What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Mathematics Intervention Specialist - Carver CCA - 2024-25 position at Chesterfield County Public Schools?
Administers diagnostic assessments in order to identify student deficiencies in mathematics.
Plans and delivers instruction to students identified as having deficiencies in specific mathematical areas.
Coordinates and oversees evidence-based supplemental instruction and intervention for students who do not meet mathematics benchmarks.
Supports math teachers in analyzing student results from math assessments.
Supports math teachers in using student-level data to inform and plan for core instruction and intervention.
Uses the curriculum of the district, including those resources approved for remediation purposes, to plan daily instructional activities.
Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring for student performance and progress.
Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups.
Provides student progress data to school teams.
Collaborates with school administration, teachers, and families in planning for the instructional needs of all students.
Participates in ordering and disseminating mathematics materials.
Oversees all mathematics assessments and documentation procedures as prescribed by the Virginia Department of Education and Chesterfield County Public Schools.
Models instructional strategies and best practices for teachers.
Coordinates tutorial services.
Plans and implements motivational programs to promote mathematics..
Demonstrates commitment to improving professional competence.
Performs other duties as established by School Board Policy.

Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear, understand speech and speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly at normal levels indoors and on the telephone. Physical agility to lift up to 25 lbs. bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead.

Salary : $53,978 - $81,971
