What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fingerprint Technician position at Chesterfield County?
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
This position is considered Critical Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The use of medical marijuana for this position is prohibited.
This is a part-time position located in the Chesterfield County Courts Building.
Interact in a polite and professional manner with the public. Coordinate and complete processes related to fingerprinting requirements initiated by the appropriate courts or upon citizen requests, utilizing LiveScan automated fingerprinting equipment. Troubleshoot and coordinate repair of automated fingerprinting equipment; assist public by answering questions and providing general information; submit weekly report capturing statistical data regarding quantity and type of fingerprints being conducted. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
