What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Training Analyst/full-time (CPR-first aid & CPI) position at Chesterfield County?
Who We Are:
Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County. The successful incumbent will ensure that the agency’s training is in compliance with accreditation standards and state and federal regulations and will play a key role in enhancing the delivery of services that we provide to our consumers. This position serves as MHSS' subject matter expert on CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) and CPR/first aid (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, education or a related field; master's degree preferred; three years of experience in designing and delivering training programs; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. CPI and CPR certified preferred. Experience in law enforcement, human services, or related field preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of methods, principles and techniques in development and implementation of education and training programs; of training resources and materials. Ability to design and deliver training programs; to identify and analyze organizational/training problems/needs/issues, assess the impacts, and make recommendations; to manage multiple projects simultaneously; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Working knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of community behavioral, prevention and human service programs preferred. Advanced proficiency with MS office and industry-based software preferred.
Additional Requirements:
CPI and CPR-first aid certifications must be obtained within the first two months of hire.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Develops trainings for MHSS program initiatives such as VA Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDS), licensing, and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services (CARF);
• Conducts CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) and CPR/first aid (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training for new hires and refresher training for current staff;
• Maintains MHSS' learning management system to include assisting in the development and documentation of training sessions, procedures, policies, record keeping, and duties as required for overall administration of employee training records; data reporting and metrics;
• Participates in departmental committees and project action teams to develop trainings that meet agency initiatives for licensure and accreditation;
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with community support networks, public and private provider agencies, and partnering county departments to enhance services and supports for individuals;
• Assists with MHSS HR related training, special projects, etc.; and
• Performs other work as required.
