Chesterton Manor is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our 95-bed skilled nursing facility in Chesterton, IN. We are also open to considering experienced LPNs for this role.
Position Highlights
- Role: Assistant Director of Nursing (RN, and may consider an experienced LPN)
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Pay: $52/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Nursing Service Department.
- Interview and screen potential residents during the admission process.
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatments, medications, and residents’ conditions through regular review of nurses’ notes.
- Conduct daily rounds to observe resident care and provide leadership and guidance to the team.
- Collaborate with physicians and interact with residents as needed.
- Support the Resident Assessment/Care Plan Coordinator in planning and revising MDS processes, including RAPs and triggers.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (or experienced LPN).
- At least one year of leadership experience in a long-term care setting as an ADON or DON.
- Previous experience working with the geriatric population preferred.
