We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Juvenile Justice Court Liaison to serve as a vital link between juveniles, their families, court officials, and behavioral health services. This role ensures effective coordination, advocacy, and service delivery for youth involved in the justice system, supporting their rehabilitation and well-being. This position will be based in Granite City or Belleville, IL.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $21.00 - $22.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity. - Collect, monitor, complete, and report all assigned data and documentation in compliance with program and agency policies.
- Advocate for Juvenile Justice referrals, receive and assign referrals to behavioral health juvenile justice specialists.
- Provide case management and resource coordination based on juvenile and family needs, ensuring services align with treatment plans and program requirements.
- Promote the recovery model of treatment, including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
- Attend court proceedings as assigned, collaborate with court officials, recommend services, and provide testimony as needed.
- Foster positive interactions within Chestnut and the community, particularly with juveniles, families, court officials, and juvenile justice entities.
- Attend and facilitate meetings, juvenile staffings, and program development activities, ensuring compliance with supervision and training requirements:
- Utilize available funds and resources to help meet the needs of juveniles and their families.
- Take on leadership roles as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years of supervised mental health experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, email, videoconferencing, and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and be insurable.
- Key Competencies: Strong advocacy, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to navigate juvenile justice and behavioral health systems effectively.
