The Resort is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Catering Operations to join our team. The Director of Catering Operations will be directly responsible for all banquet and catering events at the Resort, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality are essential to the Director of Catering Operations' position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of quality, service, and financial performance.
- Support and lead banquet staff during events, including banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and setup crew.
- Collaborate with event planners, chefs, and management to execute seamless events.
- Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review event details, timelines, and service expectations.
- Ensure event setup aligns with client specifications and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest requests and resolving any issues promptly.
- Monitor food and beverage service, ensuring quality presentation and timely delivery.
- Supervise alcohol service for compliance with applicable laws and guests' safety.
- Uphold health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or damages.
- Process accounting functions including accurate reporting of all catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables.
- Complete personnel and payroll functions for the catering department including hiring, training, scheduling, service charge distributions, and timecard verifications.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet operations, hospitality, or a similar leadership role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation regulations.
- Knowledge of NC ABC liquor laws.
- Understanding of cost control measures for profitability.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items during events.
