Our Equipment Operator position is a skilled position for someone who loves working in the dirt, has a good eye and understanding of measurements to maintain grades, and enjoys working with a team of like-minded individuals to efficiently create an outdoor space to be proud of.

We offer seasonal work from April to November, with winter work opportunities. We create, build, and maintain outdoor spaces, from garden beds to patios and walkways. With multiple projects going on at once, new challenges and learning opportunities are always available. We take pride in our work and want all team members to be able to do so as well. All team members enjoy weekends off, weekly paychecks, time-and-a-half overtime pay for over 40 hours worked in a week, and up to 40 hours of PTO per year.

Major Job-related Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for verifying that Dig-Safe (811) has been notified and clearance given to begin site work
- Read and interpret blueprints, designs, drawings, and specifications to assist in landscape construction
- Responsible for the operation of heavy equipment to complete a wide variety of job tasks and assist with landscape construction projects, both residential and commercial
- Overseeing work in trenches, ditches, excavation sites, landscape installations, and lawn installations, including measurements with laser level and various other tools
- Daily inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools
- Report any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately
- Secure special attachments to equipment
- Assist with general labor duties when needed to complete landscape construction projects
- Complete daily paperwork detailing job hours and costs
Minor Job-related Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure daily clean-up of garbage from job-site areas, trucks, and trailers, including disposal of debris in proper areas
- Wearing proper personal protective equipment at all times of work, including but not limited to hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and boots, as per company and governmental regulations and laws
Job-related Qualifications
- Preference for valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and ability to drive truck/trailer combination
- Proof of high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Proven measurement and calculation skills
- Preference for at least 2 years of experience in landscape, construction, or another related field
- Flexible working hours including occasional out-of-town work
- Available by phone on off-duty hours for planning/emergency work situations that occasionally arise
- Must pass drug testing
- Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements for The Position
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs., walk, stand, crouch, kneel, carry out strenuous physical tasks for prolonged periods, and physically work shifts greater than 8 hours.
- Seasonal work may require shifts of 10-12 hours
