Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or providing information as needed.
- Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for managing guest check-ins and processing orders.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and enhance guest relations.
- Support waitstaff during peak hours by assisting with menu explanations or drink orders as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to help guests feel welcome and valued.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential for effective guest interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset are crucial for success in this role.
