Description of the role:
The service porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the service department of Chevrolet GMC of Corsicana. They play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the overall efficiency of the service operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Park and retrieve vehicles in designated areas
- Maintain the cleanliness of the service department, including the waiting area and restrooms
- Assist technicians by moving vehicles in and out of service bays
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels
- Deliver vehicles to customers upon completion of service
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
