Purpose / Introduction
Performance Pipe is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Bloomfield, Iowa plant. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities necessary to produce products in a safe (incident-free) and reliable manner. The role has a personnel accountability of approximately 8 employees.
Responsibilities
Promotes and ensures a safe working environment with quality results.
Directs, supervises and motivates a team of employees to produce expected results while optimizing assets, inventory, equipment, and manpower.
Assumes an active, hands-on role in the production process, utilizing initiative, planning, organizing, motivational and leadership skills.
Trains in injection molding skills and techniques.
Provides mentoring to new operators / setups.
Ensures accurate reporting of production and inventory levels of production items.
Works with maintenance to ensure proper function and maintenance of equipment.
Learn, understand and abide by all aspects of the Union contract.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Previous supervisory experience and / or extensive experience as a leader in a manufacturing facility.
Ability to work alternating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills promoting teamwork.
Strong safety focus.
Excellent leadership skills.
Solid teamwork philosophy.
Comprehensive manufacturing knowledge.
A positive attitude, strong organizational and communications skills.
