Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of MCBU Artificial Lift Corrosion Representative in Carlsbad, NM through July 21st, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
The Artificial Lift Corrosion Representative (ALCR) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of oil and gas wells. Operations in the Delaware Basin consist of oil, gas, and disposal wells in unconventional development areas with high levels of activity and robust growth. The position must gain and maintain a well control certification and can manage artificial lift failures and troubleshooting, failure analysis, and ability to analyze and optimize artificial lift performance. Wells are on numerous artificial lift systems including gas lift, rod pumps, electrical submersible pumps (ESP), and plunger lift. The ALCR responsibilities require working in a team environment with engineers, planners, IOC, wellsite reps, and several field specialists in the design, installation, optimization, and operation of surface and downhole equipment. This position requires mentoring others and leading group discussions and problem-solving. Visible role working with multiple internal/external stakeholders.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Artificial Lift - knowledge of artificial lift well systems & components. Capability in analyzing data and artificial lift metrics
- Manage artificial lift failures and troubleshooting, failure analysis, and ability to analyze and optimize artificial lift performance
- HSE - Demonstrate strong commitment to the health and safety of all employees including business partners and a commitment to minimizing any environmental impacts. Commitment to incident-free operations.
- Manage data from multiple sources, analyze trends, develop and manage performance metrics and troubleshoot well & facility performance problems.
- Assures all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries
- Must have knowledge of onshore oil & gas facilities and artificially lifted wells.
- Must have analytical and computer skills. Ability to manage data from multiple sources, analyze trends, develop and manage performance metrics and troubleshoot well & facility performance problems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (or higher) in Petroleum or Process Technology or related technology discipline
- Six years of current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries
- Understanding of flow assurance
- Active Well Control Certification
- Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production-related issues
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment
- Digital fluency and an aptitude for learning new software packages and solutions
- Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks and ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers
- Ability to clearly convey concepts & project information orally, in presentations & technical reports with all levels including field operations, project teams, leaders & other key stakeholders.
