Chevron Renewable Energy Group is accepting online applications for the position of Mechanical Systems Technician near Danville, IL through March 14th, 2025, at 11 : 59 p.m.

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with performing the maintenance of all equipment in the factory, identifying and ordering spare parts, working with contractors to maintain and upgrade the plant, and improving the reliability of the plant. This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

Maintain the Plant

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks
• Support predictive maintenance practices
• Perform Corrective maintenance
• Perform failure analysis and implement improvements
• Update and maintain the CMMS information for the plant
• Enter work order information into the CMMS
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant controls, valves, and instruments
• Troubleshoot and repair Motor Control Centers

Operate Utility systems

IMPORTANT NOTE :

Chevron's tests are focused on industrial aptitudes. However, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test preparation guides may be helpful in preparation for these tests. Candidates should focus on mechanical aptitude, reading comprehension, understanding information in tables and graphs, and understanding industrial math.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

This position may require extended and flexible working hours to assure effective operation. Requires ability to move freely throughout the facilities, directing and coordinating a variety of activities. Occasionally exposed to marked changes in temperature and / or humidity, feedstock, dust, medium to high noise levels within the building due to running equipment. Potential exposure to chemicals, hazardous materials used in the biodiesel process.
