Work Schedule
- Start as a register operator to learn the flow of the shop
- This is a weekend position; you must be able to work every Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday.
- Open - Close 10 hours shift 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM & 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- You may adjust your schedule when current staff availability opens up or changes.

Primary Job Responsibilities & Overview
As a Trainee Barista, you will embark on a journey to master the art of coffee making and customer service from the ground up. This position is designed for individuals with a passion for coffee but no prior barista experience. You will receive comprehensive training in all aspects of the role, including beverage preparation, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include learning how to craft high-quality espresso and coffee drinks, providing exceptional service to our customers, and supporting your team in daily operations. You will also be trained in cash handling, health and safety protocols, and the unique aspects of our menu offerings. - Clean and maintain all coffee equipment and workspaces.
- Work cooperatively with the store management team and colleagues, demonstrating teamwork, integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the company's culture, values, and mission.
- Keep track of inventory and collaborate with management on orders.
- Prepare and serve beverages consistently, adhering to recipe standards while maintaining a calm demeanor during high-volume periods or unusual events.
- Ensure consistent and accurate portion measurements while minimizing ingredient waste.
- Multitask during rush hours, including operating the register and managing customer flow.
- Prepare and bake simple baked goods like our famous Portuguese Egg tart.
- Taking and packing orders
Expectation
- Must be available to work year-round, including during typical school breaks and holidays. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate schedules that include extended periods away from the area.
- You must obtain a ServSafe Manager Certificate to start working if hired.
- Develop knowledge of all the products and make all the drinks professionally within 3 months.
- Fully manage register and beverage preparation solo within 6 months.
- Develop leadership skills to train new team members in 12 months, aiming for internal promotion.
