Are you passionate about sustainable agriculture, working outdoors, and making a difference in a vibrant summer camp community? Chewonki is looking for Summer Farm Workers to join our team and help keep our farm thriving during the summer season!
Location: Wiscasset, Maine (On Campus, in-person)
This is a seasonal residential position
Schedule/ 2025 Dates: June 8, 2025 - August 18, 2025 (Seasonal Position)
Reports to: Farm and Woodlot Manager

What You’ll Do:
Grow and harvest organic vegetables for the kitchen and camp programs.
Care for sheep, cows, pigs, laying hens, and meat chickens—including rotational grazing and fencing.
Engage campers in hands-on farm work, sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm.
Take turns managing evening barn checks and weekend animal care.
Work hard, get your hands dirty, and experience the rewarding challenges of farm life!
Qualifications:
A strong interest in sustainable farming and education.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle demanding tasks.
Great communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Availability for weekend and evening farm chores on a rotating basis.
Must be at least 17 years old and able to pass a background check.
Previous experience working on a farm, in outdoor education, or in a camp setting.
Interest in living and working in a small, tight-knit community.
Pay & Benefits:
$400/week (exempt)
