Join Our Team as a Summer Kitchen Expeditor (Residential) at Chewonki!

Location: Wiscasset, Maine (On Campus, in-person)
This is a seasonal residential position
Schedule/ 2025 Dates: June 8, 2025 - August 18, 2025 (Seasonal Position)
40 hours per week, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings
Reports to: Director of Food Services

What You’ll Do:
Be the bridge between our kitchen and service areas, coordinating meal delivery and buffet setup.
Serve wholesome, delicious meals to campers, staff, and guests while maintaining high-quality standards.
Ensure food safety and proper handling, organization, and storage of meals.
Communicate clearly with staff and campers regarding dietary needs and allergies.
Keep the kitchen and dining area spotless, following cleaning protocols and upholding Chewonki’s commitment to sustainability through proper waste reduction and composting.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 17 and ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.
A team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Someone with a strong work ethic who can adapt to a flexible schedule.
ServSafe® or Kitchen Expeditor certification is a plus!
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in hot conditions.
Willingness to live on-site and immerse yourself in the camp experience.
