Position: Business Development & Innovation Consultant

Location: Training in NYC, then stationed in Miami, LA, Toronto, or Europe

Salary: $50,000-60,000 plus uncapped commissions, and equity

Chexology, creator of ABC’s Shark Tank featured product CoatChex, seeks recent graduates and early career professionals with entrepreneurial ambition to join our Chexology Business Development Masterclass & Leadership Training Program. This is not your average entry-level job. It’s a high-energy, high-growth launchpad for those who want to create, explore, and make a real impact. In this role, you’ll become a key part of a fast-paced, cross-functional team helping us break into new markets like Miami, Los Angeles, and potentially overseas in Canada and Europe. You’ll help build relationships, close deals, onboard new clients, and shape the future of our product, all while being supported in discovering your long-term path within Chexology.

Participation in Chexology’s Masterclass & Leadership Program will allow you to learn all aspects of the Chexology business. Designed to make you a confident and high-impact contributor from day one, you will receive training on everything from go-to-market strategies and creative business development techniques to turning innovative ideas into product features. You will work directly with our Founder & CEO and team leads, who will empower you to find where your skills, passions, and future goals align to help you create your own Chexology career path.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: From discovery and demos to proposals, closing, and onboarding.
  • Bring Chexology to new cities and clients: Represent us at conferences, in meetings, and through strategic outreach.
  • Create scalable impact through insight: Conduct deep discovery with clients to understand their challenges and match them with smart, scalable solutions.
  • Learn by doing: Gain hands-on training in go-to-market strategy, creative selling, and product innovation with direct mentorship from our CEO and company leaders.
  • Shape your path: As you grow, we’ll work with you to tailor a career track aligned with your strengths and passions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work collaboratively across teams, including Client Success, Operations, Engineering, Product, and Marketing.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Communicate value: Clearly articulate how Chexology's products can address pain points to meet specific new or existing client needs.
  • Generate pipeline: Source new business leads and opportunities to advance goals, including participation in conference trade shows.
  • Research strategically: Extensive research to land new deals, including identifying prospect pain points, drivers, and decision-makers.
  • Support prospects: Answer client questions about the company, product, prices, and terms.
  • Deliver insights: Conduct ROI analysis and deliver proposals based on target client needs.
  • Demo with purpose: Become an expert on process pain points we solve and demo product features, selected based on priorities.
  • Drive deals forward: Facilitate deals and onboarding processes, including escalating potential issues, coordinating with colleagues, and scheduling meetings and follow-up items while advocating for client needs.
  • Onboard new clients: Ensure new clients smoothly transition from deal closure to implementing Chexology products by providing necessary support and training for successful integration into their workflows.
  • Deliver business analysis: Leverage client feedback and Chexology’s data to create business analytics and cases that support product development and innovation.
  • Support operationally: Provide administrative support as needed.

What You Bring

  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working both independently and with a team.
  • The ability to build trust and rapport with clients from the first conversation to the final handshake.
  • Resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome objections.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a similar field where you can tie your education to excelling in this job
  • Internship experience in business, consulting, sales, or marketing
  • Experience working at a startup or with SaaS products
  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, Google Slides/Microsoft Powerpoint
