JOB SUMMARY : The Executive Director will be the Chief Executive Officer of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Community Development Corporation reporting to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director provides leadership to CACDC and manages the Institution’s day-to-day operations. The Executive Director has administrative responsibility and oversight for lending and program services of the CACDC ensuring compliance with all federal, state and funder contract, regulation and policy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Organizational Leadership : Inspires, motivates, manages and provides leadership for key management staff in strategic planning and implementation of goals and objectives for the Institution. Advises the CACDC Board of Directors regarding CACDC activities. Prepares and presents recommendations to the CACDC Board of Directors.
  • Fund Development, Investments and Financial Management : Develops and implements short and long-range goals and objectives for financing lending needs. Researches and conducts strategic planning to develop funding strategies including establishing and maintaining relationships with various funding sources.
  • Supervision : Supervises, mentors, hires and terminates the CACDC staff. Prioritizes and coordinates staff workflow, activities and provides training and assistance as needed.
  • Mentoring : Mentors the CACDC staff so they attain the technical and customer service skills along with experience necessary to perform independently and attain further career progression goals.
  • Strategic Planning : Develops, designs, leads and directs strategic planning for the CACDC. Establishes and implements short and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Operations : Directs the functional and operational activities to attain overall CACDC goals and objectives. Provides day-to-day management of Institution staff.
  • Administration : Prepares and presents periodic detailed verbal and written reports and resolutions concerning CACDC activities to the Board of Directors and other interested parties.
  • Outreach / Marketing : Represents the CACDC at meetings and conferences with Regional and National organizations, Community / Federal Government Departments, cities / towns and the state regarding lending issues and opportunities.
  • Professional Education : Stays up-to-date regarding new technologies and practices by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences.
  • Additional Responsibilities : Performs other CACDC related job duties as assigned by the CACDC Board of Directors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES :

  • Knowledge of business lending.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and Cheyenne and Arapaho laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of applicable Cheyenne and Arapaho Ordinances and other applicable laws, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Community and outside resources that may be utilized to assist the CACDC lending programs and services.
  • Proven track record in organizational management, personnel management, budget preparation and accounting practices, fund raising, advocacy, contract administration and meeting planning.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with persons at all levels in the Institution and with members of the Community.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION :

    Education and Experience : A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Community Development or a closely related field AND 7 years experience in management of a lending body, public agency, private organization or national association similar to the administration of a Community Development Financial Institution. A Master’s Degree (MBA or Masters in Finance) is preferred.

    Pay : $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
