Join Our Team at Cheyenne Children's Museum as a Front Desk Associate!
Are you an enthusiastic, dependable, and creative individual who loves working with children and families? The Cheyenne Children's Museum is looking for someone just like you! As a Front Desk Associate, you'll be the welcoming face of our museum, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Answer phone calls, check in guests, provide information about our programs and events, and answer questions knowledgeably about the museum.
- Sales: Sell merchandise, tickets, and memberships using our point of sale (POS) system, and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of your shift.
- Operations: Open and close the museum, schedule and facilitate birthday parties, assist in art and STEM activities, perform daily cleaning tasks, and collaborate with staff to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Values Representation: Uphold and positively represent the museum's values to create a fun, educational, and inclusive atmosphere.
- Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work weekends and federal holidays, ensuring a consistent presence in our dynamic museum environment.

What We're Looking For:
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs., bend, and crouch as required
- Passion for working with children and families
- Knowledgeable about the museum's programs and exhibits to answer guests' questions
