Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws while maintaining peace and order in the community.
- Conduct criminal investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports.
- Monitor surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities and respond appropriately.
- Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with immigration authorities regarding immigration law enforcement as necessary.
- Provide assistance in loss prevention efforts for local businesses and community events.
- Engage in community policing initiatives to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and residents.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to leadership, surveillance techniques, and animal care when required.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and provide necessary assistance or intervention.
Experience
All Candidates must pass a background investigation, psychological testing, physical fitness test, be 21 years of age or over, a US citizen, have a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver’s license, be of high moral character and be public oriented (people skills). NO felony, or serious misdemeanor convictions and be able to obtain law enforcement certification within one year of employment. Must demonstrate personal accountability, ethics and integrity. Be family oriented, have a team mindset and be community driven. This position is subject to veteran preference in accordance with state law.
