Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
Hourly Rate: $20.00, commensurate with experience.
Position Overview: The Front Office Supervisor leads the Hosts, who are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. The Front Office Supervisor creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment. The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay, while maximizing suite revenue and occupancy.
- Responsible for the oversight of Front Office Hosts, guest registration process, and communication of hotel services and promotions.
- Strong guest service orientation in order to ensure high guest expectations.

- Fast-paced environment that requires continuous standing.
- Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquiries.

- First contact for guest concerns.
- Exercises best practices for service recovery.
- Trains all new Front Office Hosts.
- Conducts huddles to ensure clear communication of the day’s events to all Front Office Hosts.
- Oversees group reservations to ensure that they are pre-assigned and pre-keyed.
- Responsible for walk through of public areas and kitchen with follow up report/checklist to management.
- Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of management.
- Inventory control of Front Office supplies.
- Expedia/hotels.com billing
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of one-year previous front office supervisory experience preferred
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and occasional overnight shifts
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Opera PMS knowledge is a plus.
- Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader
- High energy, effective communicator
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Hospitality degree or applicable experience an asset
