Medical Scheduler

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Answer incoming scheduling calls promptly and professionally.

· Schedule imaging and procedures following modality-specific policies.

· Obtain and verify patient demographic information.

· Provide patients and referring providers with appointment preparation instructions.

· Save and attach incoming orders and lab results to patient accounts.

· Communicate with referring providers regarding incomplete or incorrect orders.

· Coordinate with referring providers, labs, and technologists to obtain missing information.

· Notify appropriate teams of same-day or next-day appointment changes.

· Enter and manage provider requests in the ARV system, ensuring accurate linking of duplicate entries.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Knowledge of medical terminology and clinic-based healthcare operations.

· Proficiency in using computers, multi-line phone systems, and fax machines.

· Ability to assess, problem-solve, and apply critical thinking skills.

· Effective multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Customer service experience.

· Experience in a medical office setting.

· Knowledge of medical terminology.

Physical Demands:

· Prolonged sitting.

· Bending and stooping.

· Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

· Normal hearing range.

· Manual dexterity for office tasks.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
