A Day in the Life of an Epic Analyst II:
The Epic Analyst II position is responsible for the designing, building, testing, installation, support of and maintenance of the software applications required for utilization of the Epic electronic health record (EHR). As an experienced member of the application team, the level II Analyst serves as an adviser, assisting less tenured analysts in developing system competencies.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing:
Acts as the primary support contact for the application's end-users
Identifies issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and works to resolve them
Guides workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzes other technical issues associated with Epic software
Identifies and implements requested changes to the system
Maintains regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in team meetings
Works with Epic representatives and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's or department’s needs
Develops an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's or department’s workflows which may include attending site visits and other integrated sessions
Participates in training and working with end users
Provides clear, accurate, and timely communication to leadership regarding risks to the status of build, installation, enhancements, or timeline.
Holds regular communications with team members and end user to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, and upcoming milestones/enhancements
Provides application-specific onboarding, guidance, and support of new analysts
As required, may travel for support of remote clients and also must be available outside of normal business hours.
DEPARTMENT/ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
CHARGE MASTER: Supports Epic Charge Master. Responsible for maintaining the integrity, compliance and federal regulations of the information in the CDM. Has knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding patient billing and compliance information.

Proficient skills in all aspects of design, development, testing and best practices of Epic applications implementations and maintenance
Ability to acquire knowledge through research or self-training where needed for effective implementation and support
Proficient ability in complex troubleshooting and problem solving
Ability to work both independently and in teams
Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and/or priorities
Knowledge of workflows and ability to integrate into system composition
Proficient ability to develop a test plan and execute test scenarios for system readiness
Ability to lead workgroup system design and review sessions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other IT systems
Ability to maintain Continue Epic Education requirements for certification
Ability to perform as a departmental/organizational role model by modeling behavior, integrity, quality, professionalism and work ethic
Here Is What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree or higher
OR, Associate’s and two (2) or more years of job-related experience
OR, High School diploma (or equivalent certificate from an accredited program) and four (4) or more years of job-related experience
Three (3) or more years of healthcare and/or information systems experience (may be concurrent)
Three (3) or more years of experience in electronic health record (EHR) development and support (may be concurrent)
Two (2) or more years of project-based experience (may be concurrent)
Current Epic Certification
Nice to Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area
Three years of project-based experience

Experience
