A Day in the Life of a RN Operating Room Service Coordinator:
Responsible for their surgical discipline, to include the planning, organizing, facilitating, and monitoring activities and functions of their service line; coordination of instrumentation, equipment and related trials, supplies and implants, and staff for their specific service line.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing:
- All duties and functions of RN role.
- Assists Director in planning and developing the capital budget.
- Collaborates with the surgical team to orient and educate all new and current employees.
- Oversees charge entry for their surgical discipline to ensure all charges are captured.
- Maintains adequate and efficient par levels for all service supplies, implants, equipment and instruments.
- Ensures all instruments, supplies and equipment for their surgical discipline are in good working order.
- Follows protocol for new product entry process in Perioperative services.
- Facilitates repair requests to ensure continuous maintenance and repair of the surgical services equipment.
- Proactive in working with physicians to minimize unnecessary use of hospital resources.
- Facilitates continuing education, orientation and training for new and current staff. Provides ongoing communication to staff members concerning updates and changes.
- Attends, represents and participates in business operational meetings as needed and requested.
- Promotes and participates in LEAN practices and strategies.

Here Is What You Will Need:
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of a current Wyoming Registered Nurse License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC) upon start date
- Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within 14 calendar days of start date
- 12 Months: TNCC or AHA ACLS within 12 months of start date
- 12 Months: CNOR within 12 months of start date
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing within three years of hire
- Prior experience in healthcare operational management within the operating room or similar complex healthcare environment
